KRISS Vector, manufactured by Krytac, is an officially licensed replica of one of the most unusual submachine guns developed in recent years. The real firearm utilizes the “Super V” system which, together with an unconventional delayed blowback mechanism, is specifically engineered to reduce felt recoil and muzzle climb during shooting.

The original, first-generation KRISS Vector was designed in 2006 and redesigned in 2007. The second generation was later announced at the 2011 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Its major difference lies in the redesigned lower receiver, allowing straightforward caliber conversions using takedown pins — enabling quick swaps between 9x19 mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP receivers.
The Super V system allows the bolt and inertia block to travel downward into a recess behind the magazine, redirecting recoil energy downward rather than backward. This drastically reduces muzzle rise. Another hallmark of the system is the inline barrel position in relation to the shooter’s shoulder and hand, which further reduces felt recoil.

Like the real firearm, the replica’s body, stock, and most external components are made from high-quality fiber-reinforced polymers. The outer barrel, Picatinny rail segments, charging handle, and other smaller components are cast, molded, or CNC-machined from metal. The two receivers are mounted onto an internal aluminum skeleton and use a split construction for easier access to internal components.
The lower receiver integrates the magwell and the mock recoil-mitigation module found on the real Vector. The interior space is used to house the custom V2 gearbox.

The integrated handguard supports extensive customization thanks to Picatinny rails on the top, bottom, and sides. The detachable side rail can be mounted on either side, allowing the player to configure the Vector to their preference or mission profile.
The upper receiver includes a fixed pistol grip housing the battery, a right-side folding stock, and a long upper Picatinny rail. Ambidextrous safety levers and selector switches ensure comfortable operation for left- and right-handed players.
The folding stock is replaced by a collapsible version, offering improved comfort and significantly more battery space. Its slim profile prevents snagging in tight spaces while maintaining full adjustability. The inline Picatinny top rail and cheek rest allow fast and easy aiming.

At the core of the replica is a custom V2 gearbox paired with a short Neo High Torque motor generating approximately 1.6 J using 0.20 g BBs. Controls such as safety and selector switches are fully ambidextrous, making it ideal for any shooting style. The outer barrel houses a 155 mm precision inner barrel and ends with a 14 mm CCW threaded birdcage-style muzzle device.
Although the Vector’s shell is unique to this platform, most internal components are compatible with the V2 standard, making tuning simple and accessible. The adjustable hop-up unit stabilizes the BB in flight, improving accuracy and consistency.

The V2 model has been significantly upgraded compared to the previous generation. It includes a reinforced gearbox with steel bushings, a ported full-metal piston rack, and an integrated FET system providing active braking, low-voltage detection and gear-strip protection. The high-torque motor paired with the micro-switch e-trigger increases response time, consistency and electrical reliability.
