M60 is a general-purpose machine gun designed by the US shortly after the conclusion of the Second World War. The design opted for an automatic weapon that is smaller, more reliable, cheaper to produce, and easier to operate than a Browning M1919-series of medium machine guns and the BAR-1918 automatic rifle.
To speed up the development process, the design borrows some of the mechanics and technical solutions from a highly successful, yet dreaded MG 42 machine gun and FG 42 automatic rifle. A number of prototypes were built during the development process, including T24 and T44 models.
The development ended in 1957 and resulted in the creation of the M60, a belt-fed medium machine gun chambered in a new, 7.62 x 51mm NATO cartridge that could be operated by a two- or three-man team.
The design saw extensive use during multiple conflicts in the second half of the 20th century, including the Vietnam War, The Troubles, Operation Urgent Fury, Just Cause, and the Persian Gulf War, and is still used by multiple militaries around the world.

The M60E4 is a further evolution of the venerable “Pig,” a nickname coined for the distinctive sound and cyclic rate of the machine gun, heavy ammo consumption, and its weight in the full configuration with a tripod and additional ammunition.
The E4 variant is a more compact model featuring a shorter barrel with an integrated pistol grip, redesigned bipod, and optimization for use by a single soldier, rather than a dedicated two- or three-man team.



The replica, manufactured by the LCT, is a faithful airsoft reproduction of the real firearm. The machine gun features a robust design, shared by its “real-steel” parent, and a full-steel construction.
Main components, such as the outer barrel, grip/trigger housing, bipod, iron sights, and receiver, are precisely manufactured from high-quality steel. The heart of the replica is a reinforced gearbox with 8mm bearings, a CNC aluminum piston head, and a CNC aluminum cylinder head. A 26700rpm motor provides sufficient energy for sustained fire during airsoft games and skirmishes. The included inner barrel is 455mm long.
The battery is stored inside a compartment inside the stock and is wired to accept the T-Plug standard.
The included box magazine mimics the original carton box, with a textile cover and a capacity of approximately 3000rds. It is also powered by four AA batteries in a secure compartment.
