KRISS Vector, manufactured by Krytac, is an officially licensed replica of one of the most unusual submachine guns developed in recent years. The real firearm uses the Super V system which, together with an unconventional delayed blowback mechanism, reduces felt recoil and muzzle climb during shooting.

The original first-generation firearm was designed in 2006 and updated in 2007. The second generation was introduced during the 2011 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. Its key improvement was a redesigned lower receiver allowing easier caliber swaps using takedown pins, enabling quick changes between 9x19 mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP receivers.
The Super V system allows the bolt and an inertia block to move downward into a recess behind the magazine, redirecting recoil energy downward instead of backward and significantly reducing muzzle climb. Another characteristic feature is the inline barrel placement toward the shooter’s shoulder and hand.

Like the original firearm, the replica’s body, stock, and most external elements are made from reinforced polymers. The outer barrel, Picatinny rail segments, charging handle, and other small components are cast, molded, or CNC machined from metal. Both receivers are mounted on an internal aluminium chassis with a two-piece design providing easy access to internal parts. The lower receiver integrates the magwell and the mock recoil mitigation module of the real firearm, with the available internal space used to house the custom V2 gearbox.
The integrated handguard supports multiple configuration options thanks to Picatinny rails on the top, bottom, and sides. The side rail is detachable and can be mounted on either side.
The upper receiver includes a fixed pistol grip containing the battery, a right-side folding stock, and a long top Picatinny rail. Ambidextrous fire selectors and safety levers ensure full usability for right- and left-handed players.
The folding stock on the right side is comfortable and features a lowered cheek pad for improved aiming despite the compact design.

At the core of the replica is a custom V2 gearbox paired with a short Neo High Torque motor, generating around 0.5 J with 0.20 g BBs. The 155 mm inner barrel sits inside the outer barrel and ends with a 14 mm CCW thread and a birdcage-style muzzle device.
Although the outer shell is unique to this platform, most internal parts follow V2 standards, making tuning and upgrading easy. The hop-up system is simple to adjust and stabilizes the BB for increased accuracy.
The updated V2 version includes a reinforced gearbox with steel bushings, a full metal piston rack, and an integrated FET system offering active braking, low-voltage detection, and gear strip protection. The high-torque motor and microswitch e-trigger provide improved reaction time and trigger consistency.
